About Two Liberty Place
Two Liberty Place is a fifty-seven story Trophy Class mixed-use tower totaling 1.2 million square feet. As the fourth-tallest skyscraper in Philadelphia, and the 34th tallest building in the United States, it is an iconic fixture on the Philadelphia skyline. Designed by Helmut Jahn of Murphy/Jahn Architects, Two Liberty is an integral part of Liberty Place, a 3 million square foot complex that also includes a 145,000 square foot fashion and retail center, a 294-room Westin Hotel and its companion 1.2 million square foot office tower, One Liberty Place. Completed in 1990, the building was originally constructed as the headquarters for Cigna, the global health insurance company. Cigna continues to occupy approximately one-third of the office space in the tower, with the remaining offices leased to an array of top Philadelphia financial and professional services firms.
Ideally positioned at 16th and Chestnut Streets near both SEPTA’s Suburban Station and the PATCO 16th and Locust Station, Two Liberty Place connects the Walnut - Chestnut shopping district with the commercial core of Center City Philadelphia. It offers tenants efficient floor plans with state-of-the-art building infrastructure. Building features include 23 high speed elevators in three banks, two freight elevators, 24/7 on-site security, advanced telecommunications infrastructure and service, and after-hour HVAC through remote dial-in access.
At night, Two Liberty Place is distinguished by its signature crown lights - now programmable LED’s.
